BEHIND THE BRAND
Most clothes look good. Few feel right.
Buying a T-shirt shouldn’t feel like a gamble.
But for us, it always did.
Some felt cheap the moment you touched them.
Others were expensive — but somehow still disappointing after a few hours of wear.
So we decided to fix that.
Slowly. Properly.
We cared more about how clothing feels after hours of real use,
not just how it looks in photos.
A lot of clothes are designed for moments.
We designed ours for real days.
Not just outings or occasions —
but the hours in between.
Not everything you wear needs an occasion.
LEARNING BEFORE SELLING
That belief didn’t come from a business plan.
It came from time, mistakes, and curiosity.
When we started in 2023, we weren’t trying to launch a brand.
Honestly, we weren’t even thinking about sales.
We just wanted to understand clothing — the way people deep-dive into cars, music, science, or art when something genuinely interests them.
Fabric.
Construction.
Stitching.
Pricing.
Sourcing.
We wanted to know how it all actually worked.
As we learned, we also started noticing things.
The shortcuts.
The compromises.
And sometimes, the genuinely good work too.
The textile industry is massive — much bigger and more complex than it looks from the outside. We didn’t understand everything, and we still don’t. Anyone who says they’ve “figured it all out” usually hasn’t.
At that stage, we bought clothes only for ourselves. Nothing fancy. Just pieces we liked. Like most people with a small circle of close friends, we shared them. People wore them. People liked them. They appreciated the comfort, the feel, the simplicity.
Yet something still felt off.
We couldn’t explain it — but we knew we hadn’t reached the full picture.
So instead of guessing, we went looking.
Over the next year, we spent close to three months travelling across four neighbouring textile states.
Each place worked differently — different fabrics, different priorities, different compromises.
Some things impressed us. Some didn’t.
That’s when we understood there isn’t one “right” way to make clothing — just different ways, depending on what you’re willing to trade off.
Our first serious product was a polo.
It was well made. Priced fairly.
But it didn’t take off among our friends.
Not because it lacked quality —
but because our age group was already moving toward oversized fits, sweatshirts, and hoodies.
Did we feel uncertain? Yes.
Did we question whether we should’ve entered this at all? Also yes.
That’s when something unexpected happened.
We started getting approached by shops, hotels, and small businesses looking for clothing for their staff. That’s where things finally made sense. We understood the requirements, delivered consistently, and slowly built confidence — and funds.
With that foundation, we came back to what we originally wanted to build.
Oversized fits.
Classic everyday wear.
Sweatshirts.
And eventually, hoodies.
Each category added only when we felt ready — not rushed.
WHO WE ARE
Versatile Aventure may sound French or Italian, but our roots are 100% Indian, proudly anchored in Puttur, Karnataka. The name is deliberate. Versatile reflects the variety we offer—options that let people express themselves fully without confusion. Aventure signals the journeys we’ve taken—real experiences, not manufactured struggle stories—before bringing this brand to life.
We are Neeraj and Shohan. Neeraj was born in Mangalore but moved to Puttur in 2013. Shohan was born and raised here. Puttur isn’t flashy—it doesn’t need to be. Living here taught us simplicity, discipline, and the value of community, and gave us a pace of life that shapes the way we think, work, and make decisions.
One memory that defines us: since 2014, we’ve been friends and collaborators. Our minds operate similarly—whether it’s planning, executing, or solving problems, we think in sync. That shared approach ensures every decision, big or small, comes from alignment, not guesswork. It’s practical, efficient, and rooted in our friendship and shared experience.
People often underestimate small towns like Puttur—not in a harsh or discriminatory way, but there’s a subtle assumption: “they might not scale, they might not get it.” We’ve felt it at times, but instead of slowing us down, it became motivation: we’ll do it our way, honestly, and let results speak.
Puttur shapes how Versatile Aventure runs:
-
Work ethic: discipline and consistency come from growing up here.
-
Pricing honesty: no inflated hype, no pretending to be something we’re not.
-
Not overhyping drops: we let quality speak, not marketing buzz.
-
Slower, deliberate decisions: thoughtful choices, never rushed.
The town also influenced how we see style and quality. People in Puttur take pride in how they dress, but style alone doesn’t justify price or value—quality must back it up. That principle guides everything we do. Our products are proudly Indian made, designed to serve Puttur, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka, and beyond.
We’re not limited by geography. Our reach is pan-India. Anyone curious about real, quality, Indian-made clothing can experience it—authenticity is never compromised.
This isn’t about nostalgia or generic hometown pride. It’s about grounded confidence—a quiet, practical acknowledgment of where we come from, how it shaped us, and why it matters to the brand we’ve built
MEET THE TEAM
Versatile Aventure isn’t run by titles. It’s run by responsibility. Every order, every design, every interaction is handled by a small, passionate team who live and breathe this brand. From sales to purchase, marketing to technical help—we do it all ourselves.
Along the journey, we’ve had incredible support:
-
Anmay Bhat, our dear school friend, is more than a friend—he’s a pillar of Versatile Aventure. You can call him our business strategist, always ready to help, even at midnight.
-
Our early days wouldn’t have been the same without Yashwith, Swasthik, and Vijeth—offering opinions, suggestions, client connections, and editing when we had no team.
-
And finally, our small but more than capable team, who’ve chosen to remain anonymous here, yet make sure every order reaches you on time.
We’ve also given our team some fun names, because titles don’t define us—responsibility does:
-
Navigators — The Digital Pilots
They keep the website fast, secure, and simple. Every order, every click, flows seamlessly thanks to them. -
Forgers — The Makers
They prep fabrics, bring designs to life, and ensure prints last wash after wash. -
Guardians — The Protectors
Every order is packed like a gift—with neat folds, secure seals, and thoughtful touches. -
Keepers — The Anchors
Invoicing, taxation, compliance—they make sure every transaction is transparent and trustworthy. -
Propellers — The Growth Drivers
They tell our story, manage campaigns, and build partnerships so Versatile Aventure reaches new people, new places. -
Visionaries — The Dreamers
They shape collections, test ideas, and guide the creative direction—from customization to gifting—keeping the brand bold, relevant, and original.
We are committed and enthusiastic about serving every order. Team debates over designs, features, or pricing are serious—but always end with laughter. We are more than a team; we are a family, moving together to serve you better.
